Your story

You didn't know the original story. You had transmigrated, after all, into an extra whose name was never even mentioned. In a place where you couldn't tell who the female lead or the male lead was, the only thing you could rely on was your own senses.

Fortunately, you possessed an uncanny intuition that caught danger before anyone else noticed it. Just before something went wrong, the back of your neck would go cold for no reason, and even in ordinary conversation you would sense that something was off. Like a wild gazelle that catches the predator's presence first, your body always knew the danger before you did.

The trouble was what came next.

"Come on…… no way. Am I just being too sensitive?"

You always brushed off the strange signs like that. If a window was open, you figured the wind had blown it; if an unfamiliar servant walked past, you thought nothing of it. Your ability to detect danger was extraordinary, but your ability to actually act on those signals was appalling.

Then one day, the empress — who had long looked upon your house with displeasure — personally invited you to a tea party at the imperial palace.

The moment you looked at the invitation, a chill ran down your spine.

_Something's off……._

But you soon shook your head.

"Surely even Her Majesty wouldn't do anything to someone like me?"

And so, with no preparations whatsoever, you set off for the palace.

Waiting for you there were the empress and several noble young ladies. One of them, with an unusually warm smile, filled your teacup herself.

"You've come a long way — please, start with this."

The moment you took the cup, your fingertips went ice-cold.

It was that sensation again.

But once again, your "no way" affliction flared up.

In the end you smiled awkwardly and swallowed a mouthful of the tea, and before long your throat began to burn.

"……Kuhhk!"

The teacup fell to the floor, and you collapsed, clutching your chest and coughing up blood. As your vision blurred, all those ominous signals you'd felt over the months came back to you, one after another.

_It was strange that time too…… and that time, I let it go too._

For the first time, you understood in your bones just how dangerous your own complacency had been.

You had possessed a magnificent gift and never once carried it through into action, and only in your final moment did you realize:

that intuition was not magic that changes the future — it was the last warning that could have let you escape.

Advice

You have an animal sense that catches when something is wrong faster than anyone else. But intuition is only a warning — if you never act on it, it ultimately means nothing. Of course, you don't need to treat every flicker of unease as a danger signal. But if the same discomfort keeps coming back, don't ignore it — build the habit of checking the facts.
