Your story
When the original story's system shoved an ending labeled 'ruin' in your face, you burst out laughing.
“Me, die? As if.”
And no wonder — the thought that you might actually die never once crossed your mind. Whatever bullying the other young ladies of high society could manage was child's play next to what you'd already survived in the real world.
When the daughters of hostile houses came looking for a fight, you were glad to give them one, and if words wouldn't settle it, you didn't much mind your dress ending up caked in mud.
Eventually a rumor went around high society that touching you would genuinely end badly for you.
The problem was that while you were busy laughing at fate, the original story kept moving along, right on schedule.
Someone behind the scenes was laying plans to trap you, and the events that would destroy you were sliding one by one into place. And yet you never even bothered to check how, exactly, your ruin was supposed to happen.
“Tomorrow's problems are for tomorrow. Enjoy right now. Today is the youngest day of my life and it's never coming back!”
And so you enjoyed every single day to the fullest.
Then one day, you were arrested on a preposterous charge: insulting the imperial family.
No matter how loudly you protested your innocence, the evidence and testimony had been prepared far too perfectly. In the end you were thrown into prison, and the sentence handed down was death.
Only then did you begin, for the first time, to think seriously.
Should I run. Should I try to overturn the verdict. Or should I go beg the imperial family's forgiveness one last time.
“If I run I'll be hunted for the rest of my life…… but I can't exactly sit here and die quietly either.”
But in the end you never made a decision.
You'd start planning an escape and then waver; you'd start writing an apology and then tear it up. Days passed like that, and before you knew it, the dawn of your execution day had arrived.
In the end, half on impulse, you detonated the magic you'd hidden away in the prison wall.
BOOM!
The wall came down and you fled for your life. But you had no escape route, no destination, and no plan for what came after.
Even after being chased to the border and hurling yourself off a cliff, you had no idea where to go, so you wandered along the river for ages — and ended up simply drifting downstream into the neighboring kingdom.
Advice
You're an optimist who treats the world as one big happy playground. That unfounded certainty and self-assured attitude is a large part of what makes you so appealing. Firm conviction and headlong drive are wonderful things — but if you keep putting off decisions at the moments that actually matter, even good momentum can fizzle out. Try building the habit of deciding on a direction before the crisis arrives. Start by shaving down, little by little, the time it takes you to make up your mind.
